The elevation (or raising) of an existing home after a disaster is an important way to reduce damage from possible future flooding. It can reduce flood insurance costs and increase the value of the house. It can also prevent tremendous inconvenience and suffering.Deep South Shoring has handled numerous construction contracts ranging from new home construction to home elevation to flood repair with funding sources varying from private, state and federal agencies. Our ownership and crew has raised and shored approximately 500 homes totaling over 100 years of experience.As the owner of Deep South Shoring, I am proud to be participating in bringing Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and New York back and elevating homes to higher levels. We are experienced in mitigation and have worked with several local, state, and federal award programs to help with the recovery of Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and New York.  I have worked closely with Louisiana Public Assistance Repair and Renovation Program which developed into the LRA Road Home Program. I have also worked with the HMGP Elevation Award as a funding source on numerous projects after Katrina or since 2010. I also had the opportunity to work with NFIP ICC and the Jefferson Parish SRL funding for home elevations.

Deep South Shoring has experience working with other Jefferson Parish CDBG for the reconstruction of the Grand Isle Fire. Deep South Shoring is also proud to say that we were 1 of 30 companies in the nation approved by the New Jersey RREM program under their contractor pool. We currently maintain licenses in Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, New Jersey, and in Suffolk and Nassau Counties in New York.
Deep South will assist with completion of the New York Rising 6100 form, including completion of construction drawings if necessary. Upon completion of the construction drawings and New York Rising 6100 form, Deep South will assist with obtaining your building permit. After permitting and funding from New York Rising, Deep South will elevate the structure and assist you with completion of your home.
